Post from a Woman - Green Party Peace Network

The last time I posted here I was blasted with angry responses from a man, so I'll try again.

:-)

There is a blog called Green Party Peace Network which has been generating interest from folks in State Green Parties who work on peace and justice issues in their states.

This will hopefully be the catalyst to connect all Greens working on these issues.

Check it out.

Camp Casey

Tom and I were priveleged to be able to spend some time at Camp Casey last week. We hooked up with Bill Holloway of the Texas Greens who was a great tour guide in Austin. We helped set up the Green Party table at Camp Casey. We also got to meet Rena! We will be headed to Camp Democracy on September 8 for several days in D.C. Here are links to my posts, inlcuding photos, about our experiences: Camp Casey III

In the wake of viewing hours of highly-incriminating videotape surveillance from federal prosecutors, a jury today convicted Dean Zimmermann of accepting bribes. The former Green Councilman was indicted last January in the wake of an FBI corruption probe.

Dean Zimmermann – recent member of the Minneapolis City Council – was convicted this afternoon in federal court of accepting $7,200 in bribes from a Minneapolis developer.

Report from Tuscon

I've been able to get some items on my Live Journal blog about the convention at:

Dee's 'Dotes.

I missed most of the plenary session yesterday due to the press conferences I attended. I've posted a video of my speech on my LJ blog. I've posted a few other things as well.

Perhaps of significance to today's activities is my post from this morning entitled "Trouble in Tuscon". The California Delegation and the unaffiliated Utah Green Party have come prepared to disrupt the national meeting (again).

I will post the results and status aft
