Using the User Profiles for networking and fun

You may have noticed that a couple of theme tweaks have appeared recently. We now have user pictures/icons displayed next to blog posts and comments, as well as Author information in the sidebar of the full blog post page (/node/xxx).
The user picture can be any image you want to represent you, not just a photo, within the limitations of dimension and file size set by the software, and you can change it anytime you like. To upload, go to www.greencommons.org/user and click on the Edit tab. Scroll down a bit and you'll see an upload form; click "browse" and locate on your hard drive the image you want. Reduce the size using your image editing software until it meets the stated specs for upload.
While you're on your profile page, see if there's any info you need to fill in or update. This is especially recommended for the "early adopters". You do not have to give your Real Name, but it might be helpful, so that other Greens can more readily identify the blogger they are reading with that witty charming activist they met at the annual meeting.
Please also include your State of residence (which will link to a list of other Commoners from there), and your local Green Party website, and a personal non-GC blog or website, if you have one.
Please let me know if you have any problems, or other ideas for how we can better get to know one another here on Green Commons.
