Ecology and Green Politics Part III - Choose your future
Submitted by wrolley on Fri, 02/08/2008 - 11:29pm.This is not what I intended to write next. However, when I ran across the webcast the Ed Mazria did this past week, I have no option but to focus the rest of this on just that It only takes 30 minutes to watch, but you could learn how to save a planet.

Time to turn in my Green card
Submitted by Richard on Wed, 02/06/2008 - 3:12pm.I'm done.
As an ex-democrat I joined the Green Party with great expectations and felt I had finally found a party that I could believe in. The 10 Key Values of the Green Party and its platform convinced me to not only join, but reach out to other disaffected democrats to invite them to join as well.
But DAMN, Greens are every bit as loony as the democrats and run the party like children. How in the hell can anyone expect to take Greens seriously when they nominate candidates for president who haven't even said they want to be your presidential nominee? WTF is that about?
Economy Forecast - Feb Update
Submitted by Steve.Loebs on Mon, 02/04/2008 - 2:27pm.Yesterday, Fortune Magazine published an article about the latest views from Jim Rogers. You may recall that I mentioned Rogers in an earlier blog post . His forecast for the US economy has become even gloomier. It, once again, explains why he chose to move his family out of the country to Singapore.

Throw in the Towel? Or Fight Back?
Submitted by lounovak on Thu, 01/31/2008 - 6:34am.Here’s a safe bet: the two major political parties will nominate Presidential candidates from the corporate wings of their parties.
What will that leave us in this election year?
Corporate control as usual.
If this happens, we have two choices – throw in the towel.
Or fight back.
If we choose to fight back, here’s a good option:
Join with a person whose life is one of dedicated service to the public interest.
Improving "Green Commons"
Submitted by Steve.Loebs on Wed, 01/30/2008 - 4:35pm.The best web sites make visitors and authorized users want to come back. They know that they need lots of good content to fit the various interests of their users to drive repeat visits. Therefore, they are welcoming of content from a broad range of authors' preferred content.
Fear cancels a protest
Submitted by greenchuckr on Mon, 01/28/2008 - 2:02am.Hi Everyone,
Due to the overriding concern to keep the likelihood of JoAnn and Rich from going to jail, we have decided to cancel the planned Tuesday, January 29 Speak-In at the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors.

Let's Talk About Race? NO! Let's Not
Submitted by AlexWalker on Sat, 01/26/2008 - 7:26pm.Barack Obama says: "The press has been focused, almost, you know, maniacally, on the issue of race." Meanwhile, a chorus of self-serving, neurotic black intellectuals who supposedly love Brother Barack, bleat: "Let's talk about race!"
No. Let's not.

California's "Green" Governor
Submitted by wrolley on Sat, 01/26/2008 - 12:44am.I find it amazing just how often Ahnuld is held up as the Green governor example for all to see. Well, maybe in comparison to some that might be the case. However, I would like the rest of the world to see what one California thinks of T3. The author of this is the editor of a West Coast magazine dedicated to fishing. I just recieved a press release in my email.
Supporting Candidates outside of California
Submitted by greenchuckr on Fri, 01/25/2008 - 7:56am.Hello Greens,
Being on this site has been a learning experience for me and I have donated to Greens outside of California as they seek local office. Also, I donated a few bucks to Alan Augustson’s campaign.
I am always looking at ways our candidates across the country conduct their campaigns and try to learn from them.
About "free speech" in a limited medium
Submitted by Cameron on Thu, 01/24/2008 - 2:53pm.Most Greens are fairly new to email. Not only did they miss the orientation, but they've never known a mailbox without spam. Hardly any of us have used Usenet News. Over half of us use corporate "free" email which is provided to deliver advertisements and collect consumer information for data mining, and have never known professional email, but don't realize how bad the service we've chosen is.
Do you believe?
Submitted by wrolley on Thu, 01/24/2008 - 12:58am.Do we all believe in what we talk about? Are we enogh of believers to really act or do we just like to talk?
This is all about the fact that, even though the Green Party strongly backs renewable energy we all see different ways to make it real. Some of us have enough of a socialist leaning that stock ownership may not not be something they would do.
